A few people on the internet have taken off in a big way to try to make money passively on the internet. There is no rhyme or reason to what is needed here.
It doesn't cost much to get a good digital camera these days that can capture 6 to 8 megapixels. I highly recommend a digital camera that has a built in flash, easily downloads photos to your computer and has a fully automatic setting but which allows you to manually turn off the flash.
I also suggest an inexpensive tripod for pictures of still subjects. What's the catch? Nothing. You take pictures, you open a free account at any one of several photo websites that sell photographs and you upload all your photos and hope that someone buys them.
Suggested services are Fotolia.com, Shutterstock.com, Dreamstime.com, and iStockPhoto.com.
These services provide the audience and the platform for you to display your photos as well as to purchase your photos. Each month you get paid a percentage of the price of your photos that are purchased by the websites visitors.
While it seems trivial to be paid 25 cents for your own picture that sells for $1.00, it is not so trivial when you have 17,000 photos on different services to maximize your exposure. Your payments could end up in the hundreds if not thousands of dollars as you expand the number of pictures you take and the number of services you post them on.
Remember SBA! See it! Believe it! Achieve it!
