I have been a student of teachers and success coaches around the world about how to gain financial wealth. My classes haven't been formal. They have simply been common sense.
Today it is my personal belief that the greatest way to achieve personal wealth, in fact, personal growth in any area of your life is to identify a person who has already achieved the results you want to get and then mirroring that person. This may come in the form of listening to tapes by or about that person and what they have done in their life. It may come in reading books by the person and how they achieved their wealth goals.
Ultimately, sitting and doing nothing is going to get you no where! Playing video games is financially going to get you absolutely no where. Wishing and Wanting aren't going to get you anywhere either.
So what DOES get you on your daily earnings? KNOWLEDGE, right! You must have heard that Knowledge is Power, Right?!
If it wasn't, then why has it been around since Sir Francis Bacon said it in 1957. It must be true if it has been used by people for more than 400 years, right?
Well, if you are going believe in something don't you want to test it to make sure it is true?! Certainly you want to make sure that if you tell your friends and family or teach your children something that you are telling them something that is correct, right? Let's test it.
The definitions of "Knowledge" and "Power" may hold the answer.
The definition of "Knowledge" means "facts, information and skills gained by a person through education or experience." The definition of "Power" means "having the ability to act in a certain way."
These definitions are fairly straight forward. The word knowledge doesn't contain the word "power" in its definition. Additionally, the definition of the word "power" does not contain the work "knowledge." How then can Knowledge be Power if their definitions are not identical?
The answer is that they can't. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, even though knowledge is important to the exercise of power, it is NOT power by itself. In fact, it's easy to see how "power" is misunderstood too. The definition of the word "Power" shows that Power is not what many of us think it is. Power is not action itself but rather it is the "ability to act."
Sadly, the phrase "Knowledge is Power" that we've all heard for about 400 years does not hold true. Knowledge by itself is not Power. In fact, the truth of the matter is that Power is not what we imagined it to be either. Power itself is merely the potential to act.
What if you had the Power to act and you didn't act at all? You have nothing!
So what do you need when it comes to achieving any goal, be it financial or otherwise. We need to exercise our power by taking action using the knowledge we have achieved. If we don't have enough knowledge to take the action we need then we acquire the knowledge and then take the action necessary to achieve our goals.
So what is the true "stuff" that causes us to reach our goals. It is a combination of knowledge and power but the true catalyst that makes things happen is "ACTION". The "ability" to act in certain ways is only potential. Potential is not real. Potential is something that can or might be exercised, but even when it is not used, it is called Power.
Power is really somewhat deceiving or its definition is wrong. Certainly I wish that Sir Francis Bacon
So if things aren't working right for you in your money-making endeavors. I
Have you found that sometimes people who have lots of knowledgeable about their product or service are not making the money they want to make. Why is that?
Your personal journey to financial wealth and abundance includes knowledge. Yet knowledge by itself is simply ideas, facts and figures in your head and nothing more. Power is merely the potential or rather the ability to be able to act upon an initiative or a goal that you have set for yourself by utilizing the knowledge and skills you have.
However, what we all strive for is results. In fact, that is the very reason we have goals. Goals are future results that we are seeking to attain. Ultimately, knowledge by itself will not achieve these goals.
In fact even Knowledge when coupled with Power will not achieve any goal at all. Knowledge, Power and a goal only provide the education and skill, the ability to reach a goal and a future goal and nothing more. There is no forward movement. There must be a catalyst of sorts that causes you as a person to be able to achieve the future goal you have before you.
What is that catalyst? That catalyst is ACTION. If you have all of these things but you do not have ACTION then your knowledge, your power and your goal exist only as a whim or a want but not something that will ever be attained. If ACTION is not present then do not expect to achieve wealth? If ACTION is not present your Power means nothing and remains as unused potential for all eternity.
Do you want to succeed financially? Take action! If you are still not succeeding then take more action! If you are still not succeeding then you need to evaluate whether you have the right knowledge, the right power and the right motivating goal and be prepared to adjust them if necessary. But then what? Take MASSIVE ACTION!
ACTION is the key to increasing your wealth. Action is the key to increasing the value and joy in your personal relationships. Action is the key to gaining renewed vigor and vibrancy in your physical health.
For a person without Action, your world is nothing but a dream.
To Achieve something . . . you must take massively focused action!
Go for it!
