Yesterday I wrote a posting giving you a guide on how to make money blogging simply by writing about a topic you like and then brainstorming on that topic to keep building that topic to such an incredible size that it would not and literally could not be ignored on the internet. My money making poing was a little bit of a diversion from the phrase, "If you build it they will come."
Honestly, I never liked the phrase especially when it comes to making money. Why? Because when it comes to the internet the phrase just doesn't work. I know of more than two dozen people who have fantastic websites. Now, by "fantastic" I simply mean to say that the websites are visually appealing, are fairly well-written and are very user-friendly because users can navigate them very easily.
Okay, I suppose in a nutshell I could call these "pretty sites", in other words they worth seeing. Yet I know the owners of these websites and I've talked to them. Most of these owners paid to have someone create these websites and they directed the website creators to some extent as to how it was to look and what content it would contain. A few of the owners of these websites created the websites themselves and should be fairly proud of them. Now the clincher.
Remember the 9 Foot Tall book in Barnes & Noble that I told you how you could create with your blog? Well, your blog is no different than any other website. The only difference is that your blog sits on a posting type platform so that you can make posts each day without having to know about creating websites at all.
If you took the websites of these few dozen owners that I know of and you printed it out to create a book, it would barely create a pamphlet 10 to 20 pages thick in most cases. How much notice do you think a pamphlet like that would get at Barnes & Noble? Virtually NONE! It would be so small and insignificant that it would sit on a shelf somewhere probably never to be viewed by a single person in the store.
If those owners meant that website to make them money, it isn't going to do very much for them unless they pay lots of other sources to send people to their websites because chances are pretty good that no one is going to find them. What good is a blog or any type of website if absolutely no one finds it? That may be fine if you are using it to therapeutically express yourself in which case it may not matter if anyone ever sees it, but if you want to make money with your website the fact that it can't be found is a bit critical to your money-making venture.
Now, if you were excited about my article telling you how to create that 9 FOOT TALL book on the internet, then for those of you without tons of typing ability or for those of you who want to build this book faster . . . you are going to love this little money-making wonder.
All I suggest is putting your money where you mouth is and invest about 30 minutes of your time. Here it is!
Go to a discount store like BJS Wholesale Club, Sam's Club or do some hunting on the internet and purchase Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 the Standard Edition. You can get this great product for as low as $39.99. This is a dictation software. You talk and it types what you say. It's that simple. This product is unfortunately only available for Windows users. There are other products for Apple Macintosh computers, but I've tried several of them and frankly they don't hold a candle to Dragon Naturally Speaking Standard 10 for accuracy and ease of use.
For Apple computer users, even if you have to invest in a used Mac Mini with the Intel Processor so you can run Microsoft Windows XP then I can assure you the investment is worth it if you have the dedication to follow the plan I've laid out.
So how much are your dreams worth? Money in itself doesn't mean much at all. If you want some real motivation to get dedicated to this money-making plan, think about what more money brings you. More money means that you can afford a better home, a newer car, an IRA
for your retirement, paying off your student loans, and best of all
spend more time with those you love.
Do you dream of traveling the world? You need money right? Is it worth say $49.99 to buy the software dictation program to get the money you need to do that traveling before you are old and grey and need a hip replacement. No offense to readers who are sensitive about their age or their hair color, trust me when I tell you that I have aches and pains and the majority of my hair is silver. By the way, refer to your hair as Silver . . .Not grey. It helps mentally, trust me. Silver is valuable.... grey is just a drab color!
Is it worth possibly $550 to get a refurbished Mac-Mini with an Intel processor (if you are a Mac Addict) to run Windows XP and the dictation software to feel safe and make money faster. If its not . . . then that's okay. Dreams are only good for one lifetime. You either reach them or you don't.
You can be either old and grey and still dreaming of the same dreams you had way back when as you sit on a bench in the park at your nursing home feeding the pigeons or you can be silver and vibrant getting a massage in Paris before driving around in your Astin Martin convertible.
Can you talk faster than you can type? Yes. Everyone can. In fact, that is why dictation technology keeps improving. It is a challenge for any computer to keep up with how fast the human brain can get us talking and how accurate our speech can be.
In the end, dictation software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Standard will accelerate you blog and your profits. Follow this little "plan adjustment" and talk yourself to money and ultimate wealth.
