It's easy for us to see our money making blunders long after we've made them. Wouldn't it be great it we could go back and unmake those money blunders? So do it!
Okay, I'll admit that you really can't unmake money mistakes that you've already made, but there is one thing you can do that is just as good, if not better. What is it? Learn from people who have already been there and made the mistakes.
So before you go and do something that you think MAY be a good money maker and you have an idea about how you want to go about it, do some homework on the internet and find out if someone has already tried it and found the mistakes before you even get to them.
I'm the first one to admit that I've made plenty of money blunders over the years. It's no secret that I'd like to go back and undo the money mistakes I've made. Yet when it comes to sharing great ideas that I've learned along the way so that I do things right from now on and give my readers some insights so you don't make mistakes, I'm all for it.
So let's get to today's idea which took me a good ten (10).... YES 10 years to realize the error of my ways on perhaps my best money making idea ever.
If you see the internet for the great asset that it is then you already know it's a giant for making money. You've probably used your own hard earned money on eBay to buy something or perhaps to sell something and make yourself some money. If it wasn't eBay then you might have bought something at WholesaleQuiltBatting.com, TigerDirect.com or even BJS.com
The internet is a money maker if you use it. Take this blog for example. It's my hope that its a little money maker here and there and that perhaps in 10 or 20 years it will be an even bigger money maker.
For years it has annoyed me to hear countless people complain about not having enough money or enough time because they don't make enough money. Yet none of these complainers is willing to do anything about it. I almost want to pound those people over the head and tell them that if they aren't able to make ends meet that there ARE ways to make more money. Take all the energy spent on whining and put that energy to a positive and simple money making purpose.
It's not rocket science that a blog can make you money. You don't have to be the greatest writer in the world either. We have an entire planet full of people starving for information and looking for information on the internet. Just find a topic you like. C'mon, everyone likes something! What do you like? Board games? Cutting Coupons? Collecting Thimbles? Making latchhook rugs?
Once you find the topic, write about it! You don't have to be a magnificent writer at first. Trust me, you will get better with time even if you are very critical of what you have written. All you need to do in order to get better is re-read your writing later on and find your rough spots. If your rough spot is spelling, then take time to spell-check your words. If its grammar, have someone read it over and point out things that don't sound quite right. The money is in what your write. I'll explain in a moment.
Now that you have a blog and you have a topic, here is what you do. Go to your blog every day and write a small article about something having to do with your topic. If you can't think of anything in particular then just write the name of your topic on a piece of paper and then take 5 minutes (literally time yourself) and brainstorm to come up with has many words that are related to your topic as you can come up with in the five minutes.
Do you want to make it easier? Think of it this way. Imagine that each related word you come up with will put a $100 bill in your pocket at the end of your life. Trust me. This money making incentive will help you every time. So if you like Coins and your blog is going to be about Coins then write "Coins" in big letters at the top of a piece of paper. Then in 5 minutes come up with as many words and phrases that are related to that. I'll take 60 seconds using the topic Coins just as an example. Yes, I will time myself.

It's amazing how fast you can think when you think of each phrase as being a $100 in your pocket. Assume that I'm correct. I would have made $2,800 for that little one minute list. Now wouldn't that list make a heck of a start for articles you might write? Or better yet . . . perhaps some of those phrases would make good categories. I know there must be more than one type of machine that could be used to clean coins so you could make one category "Coin Cleaning Machines" and then read about one machine and write to your readers about what you learned.
Don't copy what you read! Try to pick up the important points that you thought were interesting and write about them in your own words.
So what do you do to make money? Write on your blog consistently every single day! You can join the Google Adsense Program to put ads on your site that will pay you money if people click on them, or you can put a Tip Jar on your website for people to make contributions if they like what you write.
As you grow and grow and grow you can put notes or links on the side of your blog that say "Contact Me to Advertise Here". Then you can make money each month by charging advertisers for advertising on your website.
How much might the manufacturer of a coin cleaning machine or a coin sorting business pay to be on your Coin Blog if you are getting thousands of visitors per day? The profits can reach thousands per month. The bigger your blog and the more pages you have, the more advertisers you can support. Just don't overdo each page with advertisements.
Remember that people are starving for information not ads. The more postings you make the more information you have. Try to make sure you give quality information in your postings. Don't write a bunch of junk or steal other people's information and think that people are going to come back to your site over and over again.
Keep in mind that your blog is your reputation and will eventually be part of your cash flow! You want to become known for what you write about. Now imagine that you create a blog not just on Coins but you also do one on Computers. Write on both blogs each day. Your posting doesn't have to win the Pulitzer Prize but if you spend 30 to 60 minutes on each posting each day you will find that it is well spent.
Let's say that you pick three (3) topics for blogs and you write one posting for each topic each day. Yes, it's a commitment. Yet here is what you may want to do. Monetize it in your mind. You can start putting ads on your website from the very first day, but the value isn't going to be great until you start getting a reasonable number of visitors and people can find you on the search engines. As you get bigger, trust me... the search engines will find you! You will not have to do any submission at all. Your daily posting will get you the attention of people and the search engines because both people and search engines love new, fresh information.
So let's do some math here to see if any money could be made. You have three blogs. That's three possible income streams. You write an article on each one each day and thus you are consistently building those income streams.
Your first year you would have 3 income streams with 365 postings on each for a total of 1,095 postings. Technically speaking, each posting can be considered a page that you could put several advertisements on. So let's consider the compounded affect over time. In year two, you have 2,190 posting pages. In year three you have 3,285 posting pages. Now let's jump ahead to the 10th year. In the 10th year you have 10,950 posting pages. Imagine that you continue for 20 years. Your blogs are now massive for your daily activity. At 20 years you have 21,900 posting pages.
Now imagine going into a Barnes & Noble Store to pick up a book that is 21,900 pages long. Can you envision how big that book would be? Take 44 REAMS of Paper and put them one on top of the other. Your book would be over 9 FEET TALL! Do you think that book might get some attention? Imagine it... a book that is over 9 FEET TALL just standing in the middle of a Barnes & Noble Store!
People would not be able to resist taking a look at it, gawking at how huge it is, wondering what it contains, and then telling everyone they know about this massive book they saw amidst the tens of thousands of other books at this big Barnes & Noble Store. Do you think that with a book this size that it is going to be ignored on the internet? At that size?
I don't care if you have written about whoopie cushions as your topic. People are going to come and see what you've written and if you've done a reasonably decent job writing over time then they are going to tell their friends and they are going to come back and they may even bookmark it. At that size you may get thousands of visitors each day.
Now, how much might the manufacturer for the Presto Coin Machine Cleaner pay for thousands of people to potentially see their Presto Cleaner on your website? It's possible that just that one advertiser alone may generate $500 per month for you in revenues. What if after 20 years you have only 40 advertisers for your 21,900 blog posting pages and each advertiser pays you an average of say $200 per month.
That is $8,000 per month in your pocket for advertising.
$8,000 per month for consistently building 3 blogs a little bit each day. Is 20 years too long to wait? Then write 2 postings per day on each blog! Write longer postings! Add more categories to your blog! There are any number of things you can do that don't cost you a dime to accelerate the process. In the end you make money by consistently building multiple income streams.
No need to complain about money. I just gave you the answer! It's right in front of you. You've just read it! Right now I am building my own income stream by telling you exactly what I am doing because my topic is to help people generate wealth, money, happiness and success in their lives.
Making money doesn't have to be complicated. Actually, its just a few keystrokes away!
Remember SBA! See it! Believe it! Achieve it!
