Freelancing exists in many facets of the world today. You can freelance at just about anything if you are clever enough to find the right market or the right forum. Freelancers still do well in areas of computer technical support, copywriting, ghost writing, document management, document archival, teaching, training, proof reading and editing just to name a few.
Is there something that you are already good at? Is there something that you could learn to do relatively quickly? Find it . . . set a price on it based on the market for it . . . then market it and do it. Remember, anything worth doing is worth taking time on. Don't expect immediate success. If you get it, GREAT! Yet its just not a good idea to expect immediate success or you may be setting yourself up for a huge disappointment. Freelancing is WORK! Success is WORK! Money and money making ideas take WORK! If you don't like that word. . . . well I'm sorry . . .either get over it or just remain poor. Get rich quick would be great but the fact is that everything that makes decent money takes WORK!
Freelancing may fit perfectly for you. Find out what works for you... and then work it. It can work for you if you find something you like and then market yourself as professionally as you can.
You CAN DO IT! Having a CAN DO attitude will help you over the hurdles along the way.
