Making money doesn't always have to be complicated. One good way to make money is by purchasing domain names that people are likely to want but have not been registered or domain names that you can pick up that have expired.
Once you have these domains you can list them for sale on TheDomainNameAftermarket, SEDO, Afternic or any other place where domain names are sold on the open market. In some instances your investment may not pay off right away, but if you are creative and look at what people are buying and how much they are paying then you have the opportunity to make back your money and then some.
Recently I decided to keep a domain that I had bought for $7.99 and renewed for one year. So my total investment was $15.98. I listed a domain on Afternic and 8 months later I was offered $300 for that domain. Ultimately, for my own reasons I kept the domain name but had I chose to sell it for the $300 offer I would have made a 1900% profit on that one purchase.
You wont' find that profit margin in too man industries just for a small purchase and a lot of patience.
Some people make a great living doing it.
